Colbost Croft Museum
Otherwise known as the Folk Museum, Colbost Croft Museum is set in a garden as an open-air exhibit and features a preserved Hebridean crofter black house from the 19th century. Walking into the blackhouse is like walking into the past as newspaper clippings, furniture, and vegetation are all presented exactly as they would have been when the cottage was inhabited before the tragic Highland clearances. This museum is well worth a visit if you want to experience an insight into the past.
The award-winning Aros Centre presents theatre shows, film screenings, and concerts for all to enjoy. Also included in the Aros Centre's offering is an exhibition full of Skye's history, a projected video of the scenery and landscapes of this beautiful part of the country, and a live sea eagles exhibit.
Noted as one of the most spectacular sights in the whole world, the Quiraing has been formed by a massive landslip, creating a mixture of cliffs, plateaus, and pinnacles of rock. Due to the nature of its formation, Quiraing has been classed as a difficult walk of medium length (6.8km). A challenging but beautiful climb, the incredible views reveal themselves right from the get go - a walk up the Quiraing truly is one of the best things to do in Skye.
